Factory always have some regular models with common neutral colors with neutral packaging, this kind of items factory usually keep stock available, so no MOQ requirement on this kind of items. 

Once buyer need their own color, or with their own packaging design, or special printing such as logo, company name,etc. The factory has to place order to its cooperated partners such as printing, box producing,color material,etc. So this kind of order we usually name it as OEM order will have requirement on MOQ.

There are many ways you can negociate with factory to make it lower if  they really want to help and do business with you:

a) you can consider to take factory regular exsited colors for trial orders

b) design your own package material such as manual, color box good enough, for this part you can agree with their  MOQ,

but tell factory use part of package materials and keep rest for you, this can reduce main part of cost on your trial order investment

c)or try to use factory regular packaging materials but add some your brand logo on manual, box,etc. 

In one word, tell factory how many you really want for trial order, and ask them help to give some workable solution. 

Usually when factory set an MOQ, they have 3 main reasons: 

1. there is a minimum quantity should  meet the production capacity on machines which keep the costs fit a regular budget
2. there is a minimum quantity factory will have to face when they are cooperating with their different kinds of materials suppliers such as box,etc.
3. There is a minimum cost on shipping arrangement and exporting relative processing for any quantity order even 1 box

It can be fully understood that buyers always have some concerns on quality and delivery time when they are facing new cooperated factories. This kind of concerns can not be totally disappear by words, but factory like us Foreign Trade Company for new cooperated buyers we usually do like this for buyer: 

1. writing  on P/I,P/O with every detail especially on customer labels ,printing,package materials,dates,etc
2. sending buyer pre-production sample with express , or take photo or video with all details
3. send photos of every relative materials of the order for approve before mass production 
4. The salesman who handle the order must do Inner factory inspection with QC before packing 
5. The salesman who handle the order must write Inner factory inspection report and sign with QC before shipping
6. send the inspection report to buyer before balance payment 
7. And we also welcome buyer arrange any third party as their inspector

Orders need pay before shipping:

1. the order ship to buyer’s agent warehouse and do exporting by their agent not on name of factory 
2. the order total less than $2000, which usually will be asked to pay 100% deposit or 100% when the order ready to ship, to saving bank fee
3. For some special countries those cargo company may not always be able to hold the B/L according to shipper requires.
4. For orders those ship date very close to Chinese New Year  Holiday

1. your company and address for sending the proforma invoice 
2. your target quantity,preferred colors,time of receiving, or even budget amount on the order 
3. your target market and the method of selling(online or offline,chain stores or salon,etc)
